Not What We Envision

2Ki 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. KJV

Last week me and Nehemiah did the story of "Naaman and The Little Maid." II Kings 5:1-19 I have been thinking of this story all week. How many times do we get disgruntled because it didn't go the way we envisioned it to go. Naaman was offended that the man of God didn't come out to greet him and lay his hands on him and say some powerful prayer. He thought the muddy Jordan River? Clean? I am supposed do go wash in that river? Not what he envisioned a'tall. Many things don't go our way but in the end he did get healed. Is't that what he really wanted?

2Ki 5:12  Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
2Ki 5:13  And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
2Ki 5:14  Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Rain? We usually don't get rain in Dec/Jan. It is usually sandy and hot. Well Tuesday night we got caught in the rain. We where headed to Kojokrom and the rains came down. Once at the Bible study they asked us inside their home. Emanuella, Nicolina and Winnifred came to church this past Sunday! The Sunday before last Steven got baptized.
